Dorking News – Contenders needed for “wife” carrying race
Anyone looking to flex their muscles is invited to take part in a “wife” carrying race in Dorking.
The race, which involves carrying a woman/ man over 50 kilos who does not actually have to be married to the contender, will take place in The Nower, Dorking on Sunday at 10.30am.
Males or females have to carry the “wife,” who must be over 18, through a 250m course including ascent and descent.
All those involved are required to wear a helmet and there are time penalties for dropping the “wife”.
